School-Based Mental Health Supports
Salem City Schools is pleased to offer a range of resources to support the mental health and overall well-being of our students. We recognize that strong mental health is essential for student success both in and out of the classroom.

Our school-based mental health supports include access to school counselors, social workers, and community-based mental health partners. These services are designed to promote wellness, build resilience, and provide early intervention when needed.

If families have questions about services or need support, they may contact:
Randy Jennings, Director of Student Services (rjennings@salem.k12.va.us)
Christina Rose, Coordinator of Student Services (crose@salem.k12.va.us)

You may leave a message for Dr. Randy Jennings or Ms. Christina Rose at (540) 389-0130

Reporting a Concern
If you are concerned about a specific person or situation, please reach out directly to your child’s school principal. Principals work closely with our student services team to respond to concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.

Together, we can ensure that every student has the support they need to thrive.
